Want to get out of your own backyard and build a national MLM business? It may be easier than you think. Building a national MLM business – or a local MLM business has you engaged in the same main activity: exposing people to information about your company so they can make an informed, intelligent business decision.
How you share information about your business will be the main factor that impacts whether you can build a national MLM business or whether regional is more appropriate for you.
The internet has impacted our ability to grow a national MLM business – so have audio CDs- they’re inexpensive to make and inexpensive to mail. If you’re used to building using home meetings or in person one-on-one meetings, the idea of NOT doing that might put you immediately out of your comfort zone. That’s OK. Really, it is.
What do we mean? There are a lot of ways to approach prospecting. Chances are good you know people all over the country. We move a lot, so very likely either you or someone you know has moved since you met one another and if you don’t take advantage of ALL the contacts you have, you might be missing out on some significant opportunities to grow your business.
National MLM Business Building Starts with a Phone Call
No matter where someone is located, resist the temptation to start your connection with them by email. Even if you’re planning to show them an online presentation – connect first by phone. Email is too fickle a medium to leave important things to. You never know if and when someone checks their email or when they’ll flag yours for later and later never comes.

Besides, you want to create a sense of urgency to have someone take a look and that means conveying your interest in them and the reason you’re calling them.
For example, if you’re calling an old college friend or a neighbor who moved away, you’re not just calling because you have their phone number, right? No. You’re calling because you think they might have an interest or something to bring to the table that would benefit you both.
Sometimes people say they feel awkward calling someone they haven’t spoken to in a long time and then asking them about business. Reverse the situation. How would you feel if someone you hadn’t spoken to in years called you and said: hey, I’m looking for some sharp, dynamic people to work with in my new business and your name came immediately to mind? Likely you’d be flattered and so would they. And the fact that you’re building a national MLM business is likely to impress too. The bigger, the better.
Building a national MLM business is simply a matter of reaching out to people you know in other places. It can be really rewarding too – imagine calling an old friend across the country, or a cousin, anyone. They see it, get it, get excited and suddenly a whole new world in a city you may not even know opens up to. Suddenly, you have a national MLM business that’s thriving, perhaps in numerous cities as you teach others to do exactly what you did.
Make sense? Get out of your own backyard and reap the rewards of building a national MLM business empire – you won’t be sorry!
